Lard is a high-value fat rendered from pig fat. For Ukrainians, lard is a real inspiration, because it is used to create the most delicious dishes. It is used for frying meat or vegetables, added to flour and confectionery products, and simply smeared on a slice of fresh bread, and salt, garlic, pepper, greens or other spices are added to taste. Lard is stored for a long time in the refrigerator and even longer in the freezer.
After heat treatment of lard, vitamins B4, E, D and selenium remain in lard. Vitamin B4 helps to regulate the exchange of fats and proteins in the body, has a beneficial effect on the work of the heart, and prevents the appearance of blood clots. Vitamin E strengthens blood vessels, improves blood coagulation and tissue regeneration.
This product deserves to be in every kitchen.
